Not only does Amber have a new home, but she has a new identity too! Amber is now known as Pippi to her new humans.
The name change hasn't affected Pippi's love of human contact and in particular - FOOD!
Here is an extract from Jannine's email:
"We had the farrier out and he couldn't believe how well behaved Pippi was. I have been doing a lot of work with her in the round yard, desensitising her with plastic bags, which she thinks are food!
She loves her food and loves a chat. When it's dinner time she is the first in the stable and Pippi and Finn both nicker at me when I'm getting dinner ready. It's very adorable.
She now enjoys a hose down. She's had a saddle on and I've done some long reining with her. She hasn't had a bit in her mouth yet, but she is yielding beautifully to pressure. She has filled out already and is really coming along nicely. I'm doing everything very slowly with her and she has a great temperament.
The Queen is certainly a spoiled Princess here"
We just love it when we receive emails like this from satisfied customers. We really like to keep in touch with Shiprock owners so we can track the progress of our youngsters after they leave the stud.
