Poor Zephyr has no babies his own age to play with because he was born really early in the season. Or was he really late? We are not quite sure.
Zephyr is surviving the freezing temperatures well and will be big and strong come spring time. He is almost two months old and is loving his cuddles and scratches. As with all King's Gold progeny, he has a loving nature, calm temperament and is a pleasure to be around. Zephyr will be weaned and ready for sale around November/December. For further information on Zephyr please contact me. My details can be found on the Contact page.
Shan and Graham Fleming are the proud owners of Shiprock Stud. With an unmentionable amount of horses at the stud, their days are never boring.
"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man"
"Go hug your horse. Someone probably loved a mare and carefully chose a sire. Someone devoted their life to a stallion they believed in. Someone chose to help mares make babies for a living. Someone sat up all night for who knows how long to help your horse into the world and someone kissed that wet nose. Someone put on the first halter, picked up the first hoof. Gave the first bath and tightened the first girth. It took a lot of hearts to carry your horse to you. They gave many moments of their lives, many breaths, many stomped toes and broken boards. Hug your horse for them..... they did it believing in your horse's future, so make it a good one"
